A Unique Approach to Community Wellness
At Cayce Fire Department, we understand that healing and support take many forms. That’s why we’re proud to offer two equine-based programs — each designed to promote emotional well-being, reduce stress, and build meaningful connections.
Whether you’re engaging in mindful groundwork or enjoying a visit from one of our four-legged outreach ambassadors, our equine programs offer a powerful way to support resilience, recovery, and community care.
Our Equine-Based Programs
This hands-on, non-riding program focuses on mindfulness and calming the nervous system through guided equine interaction. In partnership with Hoof Beat Ranch, the TEA Program supports first responders, individuals in recovery, and anyone seeking to build emotional strength and balance.
Our Mini Horse Outreach team visits hospitals, schools, community events, and beyond — offering comfort, connection, and smiles through the gentle presence of our specially trained therapy animals. This beloved program brings joy and relief to those who need it most.
Why Horses?
Horses are intuitive, grounding, and deeply responsive animals. They help us stay present, regulate our emotions, and feel connected — whether we’re actively engaging in a session or simply enjoying their company.
Through our equine programs, we’re not just offering unique services — we’re building stronger, healthier, more resilient communities.
